Growing Together Garden
The Growing Together Garden is a collaborative learning and growing space resting on 1/4 of an acre adjacent to North Liberty Community Pantry and open to anyone in the community. We believe that everyone deserves healthy nutrition choices along with the access to knowledge and resources to implement healthy eating.

With a new Pantry on the horizon, our garden will look a little different this year!
-
We’ll still do some spring crops at our current location
-
We’ll have some later season plants in containers we’ll bring to the new space
-
We’ll be making plans for a much BIGGER garden to come in phases at our new location
-
We’ll still have lots of fun events this year!

Share in the Harvest
Anyone volunteering at the Growing Together Garden is welcome to take home a share of the harvest of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. We share the rest of the harvest to the Pantry to distribute to shoppers.
Special Garden Events
Growing Together Garden hosts several events for the community that focus on exploring and learning different gardening and healthy eating skills. If you have any questions, email our Special Projects Coordinator
at garden@northlibertycommunitypantry.org or call (319) 626-2711.

Grow Food at Home
Each year we hold a Container Gardening Class for participants to take home a 5 gallon bucket with a choice of vegetables or herbs. This is a great option for those with limited or no yard space!

The Growing Together Garden and North Liberty Library partner together to stock a Seed Library at each location. Choose from a variety of fruit, vegetable, and herb seeds to grow in your home garden. We also welcome donations of seeds you have saved!
